Overview
We are seeking friendly and efficient Cashiers to join our overnight team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while managing transactions accurately and efficiently. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle cash registers, assist customers, and contribute to a positive shopping experience.
Duties
- Operate cash registers and process transactions accurately using POS systems.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues.
- Upsell products and services to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and store policies to assist customers effectively.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring accuracy in cash handling.
- Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels as needed.
- Supervise junior staff members during shifts to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform basic math calculations for transactions and change returns.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail sales is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating cash registers and POS systems.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Experience in upselling products is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to supervise others when required.
