Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Cashiers to join our team in a fast-paced grocery store environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, accurately processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. This role requires strong cash handling skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members to enhance the shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash registers and process customer transactions efficiently using POS systems.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with accuracy and integrity.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries.
• Upsell products and promotions to enhance sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Maintain an organized checkout area, including stocking supplies and keeping the workspace clean.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Assist in training new cashiers on cash register operations and customer service best practices.
• Perform basic retail math calculations to ensure accurate transaction processing.

Experience

• Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail environment is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and retail math is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
• Experience in supervising or training staff is advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting while maintaining individual accountability for tasks.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
