As the Lead Cashier, you will oversee cash register operations, manage staff, and ensure a smooth checkout experience for our customers. Your role will be crucial in maintaining high standards of service and efficiency within the store.

Duties

• Supervise and train cashiers to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Manage daily cash register operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Conduct product demonstrations to promote sales and enhance customer engagement.
• Utilize retail math skills to manage transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain an organized checkout area, ensuring all stock is replenished as needed.
• Assist with inventory management and stock control to optimize store performance.
• Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries.
• Collaborate with management to implement promotional activities and improve sales strategies.

Experience

• Previous experience in a cashier or retail sales role is required; grocery store experience is preferred.
• Proven supervisory experience with the ability to lead a team effectively.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with diverse customers in a friendly manner.
• Proficiency in using Point of Sale (POS) systems for transaction processing.
