Role Summary:
Budget Oversight: Manage and optimize budget of up to $130M, ensuring financial health and transparency.
Bond Market Strategy: Use expertise in bonding, bond markets, and interest rates for strategic financial decisions.
Process Innovation: Create and implement new financial processes to streamline operations and improve efficiencies.
Leadership: Oversee financial operations, partner with key stakeholders, and lead and coach a team.
Ideal Candidate:
- Municipal or public sector financial and accounting experience
- Experience with multi-fund budget management
- Familiarity and experience navigating the bond market with bonding experience preferred
- Prior experience as an auditor or accountant to bring transferrable skills
- Passionate about innovation, process optimization, and financial strategy
Work Location: This role is based in Albany County or Rensselaer County and is an in-office position.
