Travel all over Northern California and Northern Nevada with a fast-paced, exciting and dynamic schedule.
The Driller Assistant supports the drilling crew in the drilling operation. This is an entry-level position designed to train the individual in the various aspects of becoming a driller. You will act as an assistant to help the driller more easily perform drilling tasks. The Driller Assistant will move, set up, and assist in the operation of drilling rigs and related equipment to drill holes. Work is outdoors in all weather conditions. This position requires travel, some weekend work, and the ability to work with a small crew of two or three. Starting pay is $20.00 - $22.00 hourly, depending on experience and CDL.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Drives medium-duty trucks to various job sites as directed by supervisor
- Loads appropriate drilling sampling and well installation tools and supplies onto trucks or drill rigs as directed by the supervisor
- Performs preventative maintenance tasks as assigned by supervisors and prepares documentation
- Performs miscellaneous maintenance duties in field or shop as directed by supervisors
- Perform physical labor, shoveling, drilling debris, and transporting materials using ergonomically correct lifting techniques
- Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Have a valid driver’s license. Class A/B is a plus.
- Have a clean driving record.
- Must be willing to travel extensively / Participate in out of town work.
- Some weekend work required.
- Ability to lift up to 75 or more pounds throughout the day.
- Maintain all certifications.
- Must be 21 years or older to meet interstate DOT driver regulations.
- Pass a drug test (including marijuana), and remain drug-free in compliance with DOT regulations.
