PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to gain access to the work area and then safely perform the duties of the job. Vision and hearing within normal limits (with or without correction). Must have unrestricted lift/push/pull ability of 50 - pounds, demonstrating strength and agility at Tabitha’s discretion.
AGE REQUIREMENT At least age 18.
EDUCATION Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation or field, preferred.
EXPERIENCE One year of experience in a resident activities program in a health care setting, required. One year experience coordinating a resident activities program in a geriatric health care setting preferred.
CREDENTIALS Qualified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or Therapeutic Recreation Assistant preferred. Valid Nebraska Driver’s license (unless otherwise allowed by law) and a good driving record required. Must possess auto insurance at or above Nebraska statutory requirements. Must meet Tabitha’s vaccination requirements.

- Carries a Senior/client case load, providing activities and participates in development and implementing plans of care for this population.
- Provides direct Supervisor with information relative to the activity needs of the Seniors/clients and the Life Enrichment program’s ability to meet those needs.
- Ensures program services are administered in accordance with Senior/client wishes and delivered in an environment that demonstrates honesty, integrity, compassion, and trust.
- Maintains contact with appropriate community agencies, institutions and organizations to promote positive public relations and foster a strong department.
