Duties
- Evaluate and analyze clients' financial information to determine eligibility for loans.
- Guide clients through the loan origination process, explaining terms and conditions clearly.
- Utilize accounting software to manage loan applications and track progress.
- Prepare and review loan contracts, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Maintain knowledge of TILA regulations and other compliance requirements related to lending.
- Build and maintain relationships with banks, escrow companies, and other financial institutions.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in financial services to better serve clients.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Loan Officer or in a similar role within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of loan origination processes, escrow procedures, and basic math skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software relevant to loan processing.
- Excellent sales skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
- Knowledge of TILA regulations is preferred but not mandatory.
