What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Engineer (On-Site) position at Table Mountain Casino Resort?
Purpose of Position :
Install, support, and maintain the IP telephony communication systems, network infrastructure, video equipment and its network connections and component hardware. Analyze and resolve infrastructure connectivity issues in a timely and accurate fashion, and assist with all user needs.
Job Responsibilities and Duties :
- Collaborate with Help Desk Technicians to resolve trouble tickets and mitigate end-user issues with all infrastructure services, hardware and applications.
- Select, deploy, and utilize appropriate tools for reporting and routing of network traffic on the network.
- Assist with the installation planning and maintenance of network cabling, including MDF and IDF closets.
- Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex infrastructure issues for a variety of end users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions.
- Perform network backbone troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network wiring and configuration problems.
- Coordinate with IT Management to ensure that support, resources and procedures are available and executed according to agreed service levels.
- Liaise with equipment vendors during installations, acquisition negotiations, and hardware performance issues when necessary.
- Install, configure and maintain routers, switches, premise wiring, telephones and other telecommunications related network components.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
