What are the responsibilities and job description for the Leadership Gift Officer position at Tabor Academy?
Position Summary:
Tabor Academy is seeking a Leadership Gift Officer to support the school’s fundraising and engagement goals. This position will focus on identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gift prospects within their portfolio. Reporting to the Director of Leadership and Legacy Giving, the Leadership Gift Officer is a year-round, exempt staff position within the Advancement Office.
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain a portfolio of 85-100 key annual fund and major gift prospects ($3K annual giving), including alumni, current and former parents/guardians, and current and former Trustees, as well as both current and potential prospects.
· Develop and execute cultivation and solicitation strategies for each donor ensuring regular interaction through personal visits, mail/email, telephone, campus visits and other events
· Work with the Director of Advancement, Director of Leadership and Legacy Giving, and Director of the Fund for Tabor to develop strategies for both maintaining and increasing support for Tabor’s annual, capital, and other specific giving priorities.
· Collaborate with the Director of Alumni and Family Engagement on strategies for cultivation and engagement of potential leadership donors in these constituent groups including work with affinity groups.
· Collaborate with the Directors of Fund for Tabor, Donor Relations and Alumni and Family Engagement on strategies for leadership donor identification, qualification, engagement, retention and stewardship.
· Collaborate with other colleagues on special fundraising projects and/or events
· Attend internal and external events for the purpose of cultivation, solicitation and stewardship
· Effectively use Raiser’s Edge NXT and other tools to maintain accurate records and to develop proposals, briefings, contact notes, stewardship plans and letters, gift agreements, and other correspondence for prospects and donors
· Expectation of a pre-determined number of personal visits during fiscal year, including travel to donors and donor events.
· Support Director of Advancement, Director of Leadership and Legacy Giving and other members of the Advancement Office team with overall goal setting and strategy

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree
· 3-5 years of experience in a non-profit or educational setting; preferred experience as a frontline fundraiser working with annual donors of $3K or more.
