JOB SUMMARY
With oversight from the CEO, The Executive Vice President of Operations (EVPO) manages the day-to-day operations of Tabor Children’s Services (TCS) programs ensuring high standards of care for children, youth, and families served. TCS’s EVPO is a strategic leader and is responsible for retaining staff and cultivating a positive culture within its programs. Responsibilities include program development and expansion, planning and budgeting, team building, and compliance. The EVPO uses information, data, metrics, and statistics to plan the company’s future operational success. The EVPO has a deep knowledge of TCS core programs and operation plans and communicates frequently with the CEO and Senior Leadership to ensure the TCS mission is achieved.
Success in this role involves achieving goals to obtain financial stability, grant opportunities, and making a positive impact in the community.
EDUCATION
Master’s degree in Non-Profit Management, Business, or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE
5-10 years of executive-level experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:
- Proven track record of successful operational leadership in a non-profit organization.
- Deep understanding of non-profit management principles, including financial reporting, and compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement operational improvements.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on staff development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and data analysis.
- Strong technology skills: ability to learn and use external systems for grant research and submissions, and internal data systems for data management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to use your vehicle.
- Clean driving history record.
- Must be free from any communicable or infectious diseases.
- Provide a valid PA child abuse clearance, FBI check, and criminal background check.

Operational Leadership
- Manages and oversees all operational functions.

Financial Management
- Oversee the operation’s budget, ensuring financial stability and adherence to budgetary guidelines.

- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations.
Staff Management
- Recruits, hires, and develops high-performing staff members across operational departments.
- Provides leadership, coaching, and performance management to direct reports.
- Fosters a positive work culture aligned with the organization's mission and values.
Strategic Planning
- Participates in the development of the organization's strategic plan, identifying key operational priorities and goals.
- Collaborates with other senior leaders to ensure alignment between operational strategies and the overall organizational vision.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensures adherence to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including the funder’s compliance standards.
- Implement and monitor risk management practices to mitigate operational risks. External Relations
- Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, including funders, partners, and vendors.
- Represents the organization at external events and conferences as needed.
