This is a part time, weekend position that would be working at specific farmers market locations with total hours ranging from 8-16 hrs / weekend. Opportunities for additional on-site work may be available throughout the season. Responsibilities for Sales AssociateStaff the Source Farms Farmers Market, talk to customers, and assist with salesHelp set up stand with tents, freezers, display stands, signs, etc.Greet and assist customers in an engaging and professional mannerHelp take down tents, displays, freezers, and pack up truck.Maintain current and thorough knowledge of all available products and partners to effectively advise and sell to customers in personMaintain the appearance of the booth and all displaysPrompt, personable, knowledgeable, solution-oriented responses to customers RequirementsQualificationsPersonable, friendly, and a genuine desire to provide outstanding serviceBasic understanding of sales principles and customer service practicesExperience using Point of Sale systems, preferably SquareProficiency to communicate with customers, vendors, and coworkers through phone, email, and in personExperience in attracting and retaining customers Ability to work as part of a team and take independent initiative without direct supervisionAbility to maintain a professional appearanceMust be available to work weekends Experience providing excellent and gracious customer service plus follow throughFamiliarity and passion with grass-fed and regenerative meat productsMust have a clean driving recordWorking conditions : Position requires prolonged standing, bending, and lifting products and supplies weighing up to 50 poundsEmployee perks : 20% discount at Ground entities (includes Source Farms, Humble Spirit, Grounded Body)Experience : 2 years of experience in retail sales, farmers markets, hospitality, or similarWork Location : The person in this role will be working directly from the farmers markets at one or more of the following locations : Saturdays : Hollywood, Happy Valley & TBDSundays : Montavilla, Tigard, potentially Orenco / HillsboroThe Ground is an equal opportunity employer.
