Job Overview

Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as necessary.
- Apply paint, stain, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Interpret schematics and blueprints to determine the appropriate colors and techniques for each project.
- Utilize color theory to select the best hues for aesthetic appeal and functionality.
- Perform caulking, drywall repair, and stucco application as needed to ensure smooth surfaces before painting.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople in frame carpentry and restoration projects to achieve desired outcomes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored after use.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to minimize risks associated with painting tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Painter in residential or commercial settings is preferred.
- Strong understanding of basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating paint quantities.
- Familiarity with various painting techniques, tools, and materials used in the industry.
- Knowledge of color theory and ability to mix paints accurately to achieve desired shades.
- Experience with caulking, frame carpentry, drywall installation, and stucco application is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team on larger projects.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
