Job Description:
We seek a skilled and motivated Google Security Practice Engineer to lead and support the implementation, optimization, and management of Google's advanced security solutions. As a key member of our security team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, deploying, and maintaining secure environments leveraging the Google Security Suite. Key Responsibilities
Implementation and Management
- Deploy, configure, and manage Google Chronicle SIEM, SOAR, and related tools to enhance threat detection and incident response.
- Ensure seamless integration of Google security solutions into existing infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business goals.
Threat Analysis and Response
- Conduct threat analysis using Google's threat intelligence tools, identifying Indicators of Compromise (IoCs) and Indicators of Attack (IoAs).
- Design and maintain automated playbooks for incident response, addressing high-priority security scenarios like phishing, malware, and DDoS attacks.
Automation and Optimization
- Automate security workflows using SOAR platforms, reducing manual intervention and response times.
- Continuously refine and update automation processes to align with evolving threat landscapes.
Integration and Interoperability
- Integrate Google Security Suite with third-party tools, including Cisco Umbrella, Splunk, ServiceNow, and custom platforms.
- Develop custom APIs and scripts to enable seamless data exchange and enhanced interoperability.
Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure adherence to privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry best practices like CIS Benchmarks.
- Generate real-time dashboards and periodic reports to provide actionable insights to leadership.
Knowledge Sharing and Mentorship
- Train and mentor team members on Google Security Suite tools and best practices.
- Provide thought leadership in security operations, staying updated on the latest trends and technologies.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
- 5 years of experience with Google Chronicle SIEM, including deployment, configuration, and optimization.
- 10 years of experience in SOAR platforms, threat analysis, and workflow automation.
- Hands-on experience integrating Google security solutions with third-party platforms and APIs.
- Proficiency in developing incident response playbooks and optimizing threat detection workflows.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks, such as CVSS and CIS Benchmarks, and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Technical Skills
- Expertise in SIEM, SOAR, and threat intelligence platforms.
- Familiarity with tools like MS Defender, Cisco Umbrella, Splunk, and QRadar.
- Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation and API integration.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipeline security.
