What are the responsibilities and job description for the Team Member position at Taco Del Mar?
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Team Member greats and serves customers, prepares product, maintains food safety and sanitation standards, and handles or processes light paperwork. Exceptional customer service is a major component of this position. Must be able to work mornings.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Exhibit a cheerful and helpful manner while greeting guests and preparing their orders.
2. Demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and explains them to guests accurately.
3. Use Point of Sale system to record orders and compute the amount due, collects amount due and makes correct change.
4. Prepares food, according to a formula and in a timely manner.
5. Check product in service area and maintain a certain amount throughout shift.
6. Understands and adheres to proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards during food preparation, serving, and clean up.
7. Clean and maintain all areas of the restaurant in order to promote a clean image, understand and adhere to the proper procedures of cleaning.
8. Understands and adheres to all quality standards, recipes, and procedures as defined in the TACO DEL MAR Operations Manuel.
9. Maintain a professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined in the TACO DEL MAR Operations Manuel.
10. Performs light paperwork as assigned.
PREREQUISITES
Education: Some high school or equivalent
Experience and Skills: No previous experience required. Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instructions.
Physical: Must be able to work any area of the restaurant. Must be able to understand and operate a Point of Sales system. Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire shift. Must be able to lift 10 pounds frequently and 30 pounds occasionally.
Required Licenses: Food Handlers Card
Must be 18 years or older
