Position Overview
The Facilities Key Database Intern helps maintain and improve the safety of the campus, to create and maintain a safe and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and the community, by assisting the Facilities Department with obtaining, compiling, and entering all campus employees, vendors, keys, and keys issued in the MegaMation Database. These positions will assist the Building Access and Safety Supervisor with taking inventory of all Buildings, Keys, and entering the inventory and keys issued cards into MegaMation Online, to enable quick reporting of mechanical key access by building. This internship works on a quarter-by-quarter basis.
  • Assist the Building Access & Safety Supervisor with taking inventory of all buildings, locks, keys, vendors with keys, and employee information.
  • Entering locks, keys, and employees into MegaMation.
  • Entering all data on current mechanical keys issued to employees and vendors into MegaMation.
  • Drives service trucks as required
Duties of the position required experience:
  • Ability to use a computer; including Word Processing, Excel, PowerPoint, internet research, and email;
  • Comfort with learning new technology and software  
Required conditions of employment:
  • Successful completion of a criminal history background check.
  • Must be a current TCC student.
  • Ability to follow oral instructions.
  • Ability to get along well with others
  • Possession of a valid unrestricted driver’s license.  
Duties of the position require knowledge, skills and abilities: 
  • Knowledge and skills in performing internet research
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet web browser, and email
  • Ability to proactively build positive relationships, foster team unity at all levels of the college, and strive for positive interactions with individuals across the campus; 
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently;
  • An appreciation of diversity and the benefits of a commitment to cultural awareness and sensitivity in the workplace;
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with students, colleagues, and staff;

  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems.

Terms of Employment 
These part-time student hourly positions are bound by the WAC 357-04-045 provisions above. Scheduled to work up 16 hours per week and on a quarter-by-quarter basis.  The work location is the TCC main campus. The salary is $20.00-$20.00 per hour. TCC Part-time hourly and student employees including work study students, will accrue one hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked. Hourly non-student employees may be applicable for comprehensive health care benefits package for you and your dependents includes medical, dental and vision insurance. Life and long- term disability insurance plans and retirement benefits are also provided.
