Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring optimal use of the dentist's time.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including filing and updating health information management systems.
- Handle incoming calls with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries effectively.
- Assist in managing dental office supplies and inventory as needed.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient service and support.
- Familiarize yourself with ICD-9 codes for accurate record keeping and insurance processing.
Skills
- Bilingual proficiency is preferred to enhance communication with diverse patient populations. (Fluent Ukrainian preferred)
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing files and records accurately.
- Excellent patient service skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding in all interactions.
- Experience in medical administrative support or working within a hospital environment is a plus.
- Proficient typing skills to ensure efficient documentation and communication within the practice.
