Driver/Warehouse

This position's main role will be delivering of product to commercial job sites, warehouses, and residential homes. If there is no driving duties needed for the day, then warehouse duties could include receiving, picking, and stocking of product. Employee could expect approximately 40% delivery driving and 60% warehouse functions at this time. Attributes that will make you successful in this role are being reliable, working in a team, and having a positive attitude. You will be assisting customers, so having a customer focused mentality is important as well. Because this position involves operation of a motor vehicle and may involve operation of a forklift, for which impairment while operating a vehicle or forklift presents a substantial risk of death or can impact the safety of others, these are deemed safety sensitive positions by the Winsupply Family of Companies, including Winsupply Tacoma WA Co.

• Unload shipments from trucks and process PO's adding material into the warehouse management system.
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences, including the use of a forklift.
• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
• Package material for shipment by shrink wrapping pallets, or boxing or bagging up based on the size of the order
• Prepares Bill of Lading for customer shipments.
• Marks materials with identifying information.
• Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
• Understands, or is willing to learn and effectively use, the computer system and RF Scan technology and use of a forklift.
• Must work effectively as a team with management and all company personnel.
• Maintain neat and orderly work areas to ensure a safe working environment.
• Provide prompt and accurate order fulfillment.
• Make deliveries in company vehicles and follow specific delivery instruction

Qualifications

• High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or two years of experience
• Reliable transportation with valid drivers license and fairly clean Motor Vehicle Record
• Effective communication skills, including reading, writing, and oral communication
• Mathematical skills, can be conducted manually or with a calculator
• Good problem solving skills
• Ability to effectively organize
• Good time management and multi-tasking skills

An ideal candidate would have some form of commercial driving experience driving box trucks or flatbed trucks up to 26'' or similar vehicles. For the warehouse having some form of RF gun scanning experience, one year of forklift operating experience, and picking or receiving experience.

This is a first shift position - Hours will vary based on company needs. Varied start times, and occasional overtime will be needed based on business needs. Typical hours are around 40-45 hours a week. Please reply with resume.
