What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Resident Care Manager position at Tacoma Nursing & Rehabilitation?
Job responsibilities:
Daily rounds to monitor resident condition and staff performance
Coach and/or counsel staff providing care on your unit
Review of documentation to ensure compliance and accurate charting
Assist floor staff with emergencies, changes of condition and MD calls as needed
Participates in Care Conferences and quarterly reviews.
Ensures weights are obtained per policy, reviewed and referrals made as appropriate
Participate in wound rounds weekly and assist with documentation as needed
Participate in psychotropic review monthly with follow up on team recommendations
Track and ensure consultant recommendations are completed and results documented
Assist in the admission and discharge process for residents
Review/investigate Incident reports utilizing root cause analysis (the 5 why's) to identify cause and implement appropriate preventative measures
On-call rotation (approx every 5 weeks)
Performs duties as a floor nurse if staffing crisis occurs.
Job requirements:
WA state RN License in good standing
CPR certification
Excellent interpersonal skills
Able to work with time constraints and stress
LTC experience preferred
