The Sheet Metal Installation Foreman oversees and coordinates all aspects of sheet metal installation work: managing a crew, teaching and mentoring crew members, assigning tasks, guaranteeing safety policies are followed, and ensuring projects are completed to quality standards, within timelines, and at or under budget. This Foreman works primarily in the field on jobsites.
The Sheet Metal Crew Members will work under the supervision of the Foreman to install the sheet metal products efficiently and with excellent quality.

Responsibilities:
- Foreman: Crew Management:
- Assign tasks to sheet metal crew members according to the person’s skill set and abilities.
- Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of the sheet metal installation crew, ensuring all work is performed safely and efficiently.
- Provide leadership, fostering teamwork, discipline, and a positive work environment.
- Motivate and train crew members to achieve high standards of workmanship.
- Monitor production progress and ensure efficiency and quality: ensure projects are completed to the highest quality standards and within specified timelines, and at or under budget.
- Communicate consistently with the Superintendent and Project Managers.
- Foreman Safety:
- Conduct weekly Safety Meetings/Training Sessions. Prepare and submit associated documentation.
- Conduct job site analyses to identify and address safety concerns and complete all paperwork.
- Foreman: Project Coordination:
- Attend meetings with project managers to review blueprints, specifications, materials, equipment, budget, schedule, and manpower.
- Work closely with the Sheet Metal Division Manager, Superintendent, and Project Managers to assess projects/orders, scheduling, and budgets.
- Foreman and Crew Members: Installation:
o Adept at high-quality installation of: roof panels, wall panels, cap flashing, soldered saddle flashing, thru wall scuppers, leader heads, collector boxes, break shape gutters and downspouts, as well as perimeter edge and wall flashings for shingle and metal roof systems.
- Ensure all work is completed according to company standards and contract drawings and specifications.
- Perform all installation according to the contracted scope of work. Immediately notify both the Superintendent and Project Manager of any items arising outside the scope of work so that the PM can get an Executed Change Order before proceeding with installation.
- Foreman: Manage the workflow, schedule tasks, ensure timely completion of projects, and adhere to the labor budget.
- Foreman: Manage the inventory of materials and equipment, ensuring adequate supplies are available for each project.
- Limit the amount of waste on the project.
- Ensure proper maintenance and storage of all tools and equipment, while following all SOPs regarding tool/equipment check-in and -out procedures.
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all team members, customers, and other sub-contractors on the job site.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Foreman: 7 to 10 years of commercial sheet metal experience, including 2 years in a leadership role. Crew Members: Minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience installing sheet metal.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of sheet metal installation processes, tools, and equipment. Foreman: Able to read blueprints and drawings.
- Leadership: Ability to manage and motivate team members.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving: Ability to identify and resolve problems effectively.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
