Job Description :
Tacoma Screw Products is a distribution company that sells industrial supplies, fasteners and tools to contractors, small and large businesses and individual retail customers since 1946.
We have a unique blend of Wholesale and Retail Customers. Because of this, are not open during the typical 'Retail Hours'. We are closed on nights, Sunday, and Holidays.
Summary : Manages retail store engaged in selling fasteners, tools and shop supplies by performing the following duties personally or through staff. The managers of our stores are working managers, they are expected to be out on the sales floor working with customers and giving feedback to employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Plans and prepares work schedules and assigns employees to specific duties using good work flow management.
- Trains new staff on computer using SX.e
- Maintains superior store appearance organization, cleanliness, merchandising, etc.
- Responsible for building maintenance.
- Reviews, corrects and submits time clock information for payroll. Records and approves leave time for staff in the timekeeping system. Coordinates backup for absent staff.
- Supervises employees engaged in sales work, taking of inventories, reconciling cash with sales receipts, keeping operating records, or preparing daily record of transactions for Accounting, or performs work of subordinates, as needed.
- Responsible for tracking and maintaining proper inventory levels for the branch store.
- Ensures compliance of employees with established security, sales, and record-keeping procedures and practices.
- Responsible for employee compliance with company’s seasonal dress code.
- Conducts performance evaluations for branch staff and documents performance issues.
- Actively and effectively promotes product knowledge improvement including application, features, and benefits of existing and new products.
- Answers customer's complaints or inquiries.
- Ensures the store is locked and secure.
