Job Description:
A Day in the Life:
As a Counter Sales Associate, you will be the first point of contact for customers, assisting them in selecting, applying, and purchasing a wide range of fasteners, industrial hardware, tools, and maintenance and shop supplies. You will serve a variety of industries, including transportation, heavy equipment, maintenance and repair departments, sand/gravel pits, and machine shops. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with people, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist walk-in and telephone customers with product inquiries, special requests, and pricing.
- Identify customer needs, clarify product specifications, and locate or retrieve products.
- Finalize transactions and assist with product shipments when necessary.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with new and existing customers.
- Promote company products and services to drive additional sales.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional storefront.
