Job Overview:

Tact Tech Security Solutions is seeking a reliable and proactive Gatehouse/Rover Security Officer to join our overnight team. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment for our clients by monitoring access points, conducting patrols, and ensuring the safety of property and personnel. The ideal candidate will possess excellent observational skills, be comfortable working independently, and demonstrate a high level of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor the gatehouse to control access for employees, contractors, and visitors, ensuring proper credentials are presented and recorded.
• Conduct routine overnight patrols of the property, including buildings, parking lots, and perimeter areas.
• Respond to and document any incidents, suspicious activities, or safety concerns.
• Report any safety hazards, security breaches, or unusual behavior immediately to the supervisor.
• Enforce site-specific security policies and procedures, maintaining a visible security presence.
• Monitor security systems (such as CCTV cameras and alarm systems) to identify any potential threats or breaches.
• Provide detailed and accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and any notable observations.
• Assist with emergency situations by coordinating with local law enforcement, fire department, or medical teams as needed.
• Ensure all access points are properly secured at the end of shifts and that any incidents are handed off to the following shift effectively.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with staff, visitors, and clients.
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Must be able to work overnight shifts and remain alert during all assigned hours.
• Must have a valid FL driver's license.
• Must have a valid security guard D license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and professionally.
• Basic knowledge of security systems (CCTV, alarms, access control) is a plus.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong observational skills.
• Must be physically capable of patrolling large facilities in varying weather conditions.
