Senior Site Reliability Engineer
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our innovative team. In this role, you will take a leadership position in ensuring the availability, performance, and scalability of our company's critical software systems and infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to architect and drive the reliability, efficiency, and automation of our services while mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
Responsibilities:
System Reliability: Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable systems that meet the needs of our organization and customers.
Incident Response and Monitoring: Develop and refine incident response procedures, lead on-call rotations, and ensure the prompt resolution of system issues. Monitor system performance, analyze trends, and drive proactive measures to mitigate potential problems.
Infrastructure Automation: Architect and implement advanced deployment, configuration management, and orchestration solutions using infrastructure-as-code practices. Develop tools for deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting at scale.
Capacity Planning: Collaborate with teams to forecast system growth and capacity needs. Lead efforts to identify performance bottlenecks, analyze resource utilization, and optimize infrastructure for scalability and efficiency.
Performance Optimization: Address complex performance issues across the entire technology stack. Analyze system behavior, fine-tune configurations, and implement optimizations to improve response times and resource utilization.
Technical Leadership and Collaboration: Mentor junior SREs and other team members, provide technical guidance, and collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure reliable and secure software deployments.
Continuous Improvement: Stay at the forefront of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to site reliability engineering. Propose and lead the implementation of innovative solutions to enhance system reliability, monitoring, and performance.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of best practices, standard operating procedures, and incident response plans.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Experience: 8 years of experience in a related role, such as Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Systems Engineer, with at least 3 years in a senior capacity.
Technical Expertise:
Advanced knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Expertise in configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and infrastructure-as-code frameworks (Terraform).
Strong knowledge of networking protocols, load balancing, and distributed systems architecture.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) and effective alerting mechanisms.
Leadership: Proven ability to mentor and guide team members, drive collaborative projects, and lead technical initiatives.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to address complex challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred: Experience with agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (e.g., Git).

Salary : $135,000 - $163,000
