Position Summary
This is a full-time position, 40 hours / week, and will be for a 6 month duration based on the individual Contractor's performance. If the Contractor fails to perform assigned duties and responsibilities in a professional manager, in good faith and to the best of the Contractor's abilities, talents and experience; Tactical Air Support may terminate this agreement immediately by giving notice to the Contracting Agency. The Contractor's rate of pay and payment for work performed will be processed and arranged through the Contracting Agency.
The Aircraft Mechanics will be assigned to perform duties in their specialized expertise in either avionics, structures or airframes.
Responsibilities
Avionic Mechanics will perform organizational, intermediate, and limited depot-level maintenance to include inspection, operational test, repair, modification, troubleshooting, and replacement of aircraft electrical / avionics systems on all assigned aircraft, components, and equipment.
Fabrication / Assembly Mechanics will fabricate per drawings and standard practices wire bundles and assemblies to include marking of wires, properly securing wires into bundles, and termination of wires into a variety of contacts and connectors. Manufacturing / Integrating cabling, including fiber optics and coaxial cables. Provide input of technical and operational knowledge in the assessment and repair / maintenance of avionic components
Structural Mechanics will inspect fabricated and installed parts such as brackets, angles, doublers, and other items necessary for the maintenance and modification of assigned aircraft. Layout, fabricate, assemble, install, sheet metal products and equipment on aircraft. Read drawings to determine part-fitting operations : filing, sawing, deburring, trimming, riveting, drilling, reaming, countersinking, and counterboring.
Airframe Mechanics will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on assigned T / M / S aircraft including repair of airframe components, hydraulic components, and preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance discrepancies. Perform miscellaneous duties to service aircraft including cleaning of screens and filters, grease moving parts, and check brakes. Service airframe components at line station, making repairs required to keep aircraft in safe operating condition. Apply specialization to work, repair, and modification of structural, precision, and functional spare parts and assemblies. 
Requirements
- Must be instructed to apply via contracting agency.
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 to 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance and / or flight line occupational field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of applicable maintenance and technical manuals, publications, instructions, and special tools and test equipment.
- Valid state driver's license.
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain / maintain a government security clearance.
