Position Summary

Tactical Air Support, Inc. is seeking an experienced Logistics Support Technician/Hazmat to join its growing maintenance and logistics teams. To support Tactical Air's fleet and customer requirements, the Logistics Division maintains over 17,000-line items of aircraft parts and is developing a comprehensive logistics support network of industry leaders. Responsibilities

The ideal candidate for the Logistics Support Technician position will have a strong background in aviation logistical operations and inventory control in support of aircraft and flight operations. Reporting to the Senior Site Maintenance Manger this position will be responsible for daily functions including order fulfillment to multi-state company locations and customers; issuing purchase orders and distribution of materials; research, validate, and initiate requisitions and daily correspondence and reports; and assist in the life cycle of products. This position will organize, order, and track the use of Hazmat and organize and run the toolroom including calibrated equipment. The successful Logistics Support Technician must be familiar with Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations, policies, and mandated Quality Assurance, Security, Explosive Safety, and other applicable company program requirements. May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School/GED with 3 years of experience in Logistics supporting the Military, Aviation or equivalent company.
• Capable of maintaining an accurate accountability for on-hand inventory.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
• Familiarity with shipping, receiving, and handling of hazardous materials.
• Regular travel (10%) to various work sites throughout the U.S. required.
• Valid state driver's license.
• U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance.
• HAZWOPR Training.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Desired Experience/Skills

• Prior aviation logistical operations experience preferred.
• Prior Toolroom duties preferred.
• Experience with Military Logistics/HAZMAT.
• Familiarity using TCMAX.
• Knowledgeable in inventory control database systems advantageous.

Physical Demands?

• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds (with assistance, if required).
• Regular use of hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, reaching with hands and arms.
• Regularly ascend/descend stairs and/or ladders.

Work Authorization?

• Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States and complete a U.S. government I-9 Form.
• Tactical Air Support is a Drug & Alcohol-Free Workplace. Pre-employment, random, or for cause drug/alcohol testing (including for marijuana) required.
• Pre-employment and ongoing physical certifications required.
• Occasional aircraft hangar or warehouse environment with exposure to loud noises, fumes from engines and chemicals, unpredictable climate (hot/cold), and electrical shock, or trip or slip hazards.
• May be exposed to or required to handle hazardous materials.
• Specific work hours determined by operational, departmental, or contractual requirements.
• Occasional evening, weekend, holiday, and overtime.
