Description
The Red Czar JTAC Manager will serve as the lead planner and on-site coordinator for all Opposition Force (OPFOR) activities during Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) exercises. This individual will work closely with Government representatives to align OPFOR planning and execution with mission objectives. The Red Czar Coordinator will also manage Live Role Players (LRPs) and oversee communications during all vulnerability periods (VULs). The Red Czar Coordinator shall perform all tasks associated with this position such as:
- Coordinate directly with Government representatives during blue planning conferences.
- Ensure OPFOR planning aligns with mission learning objectives.
- Manage and coordinate all LRPs during exercise execution.
- Operate and train on communication systems, including Combat Survivor Evader Locators (PRC-7A CSEL) and PRC-112G (HOOK) radios, and contractor-provided communication equipment.
- Be co-located with Government representatives during exercise execution.
- Provide real-time communication to the ground and airborne teams during VULs.
- Attend post-exercise debriefs with Government representatives and report relevant information.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a JTAC, TACP, Combat Controller, or related role with Air Force Weapons and Tactics experience. Personnel management experience is desired.
- Current Secret clearance required (Top Secret preferred).
- Graduated Tier IV Weapons Officer, JTAC/ITO certification, JTAC Instructor qualified, or JTAC Evaluator qualified.
- Graduated from a formal JTAC school within the last five years or a comparable AFSC/SOW equivalent school.
