Overview : Position Summary

The Senior Manager Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing the Supply Chain team, Supplier relations and transportation details for the company. This role will lead efforts for site SIOP, Logistics, Procurement, Master Scheduling, Customer Service / Order Entry, and Inventory Control.

Responsibilities :

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Manage the Supply Chain team through continous improvement
  • Evaluates their employers brand and target audience to determine what products to order, monitoring delivery times from warehouses or manufacturing locations and hiring and training purchasing staff members to carry out purchasing tasks
  • Develop a highly effective and productive team through hiring, development, coaching and performance management
  • Develops appropriate supply chain strategy to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost
  • Leads the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Directs and coordinates global supply chain functions through strategy, resource optimization, profitability maximization, and KPIs resulting in the maximization of customer satisfaction
  • Interfaces with cross functional stakeholders in S&OP and Demand planning meetings
  • Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand
  • Works directly with sales department to determine most cost-effective distribution solution for finished goods transportation to customers
  • Monitors and corrects inventory levels at outside warehouses (3PL) and internally to ensure rotation and maximize working capital
  • Works with freight forwards and transportation companies to set best route and rate (reviews and approves all freight terms and agreements)
  • Supports proper utilization of ERP system
  • Supports New Product Introduction and Sustaining Engineering project teams as needed
  • Member of the operations staff, responsible to routinely report on department KPIs along with appropriate analysis and countermeasures where necessary
  • Actively encourage sharing of talent, knowledge and expertise to achieve the best possible results
  • Meet regularly with direct reports to review performance metrics and identify opportunities and barriers
  • Write and deliver annual performance reviews
  • Facilitate team meetings and necessary training or educational events to deliver on key initiatives
  • Must maintain compliance with all appropriate regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, FDA regulations, and ISO 13485
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

Education & Experience

Required :

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain / Logistics, or equivalent related experience with a Manufacturing enviroment
  • 8 years of supply chain, logistics, or warehouse management experience
  • Preferred :

  • Operational process development / management and management by metrics (KPIs) experience
  • Experience with leading New Product Introduction and Sustaining phase material planning
  • Medical device or healthcare industry experience within supply chain environment
  • APIM Certified Production Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
  • Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficient knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and equipment to the design and production of various goods / services
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint or other relevant software
  • Quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain focus, and adapt to a variety of challenges
  • Strong use of data and analytics to support, justify, and drive business decisions
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and effectively manage change by providing hands on enthusiastic leadership
  • Proven coaching skills that will impact both entry-level employees and develop leaders
  • Ability to manage a department, providing assessment, training, feedback and guidance

  • Below is the starting salary range for this position, although offers may differ based on the candidate's location, job-specific knowledge, skills and experience. :

    113,300 - $169,890

Benefits may be subject to generally applicable eligibility, waiting period, contributions, and other requirements and conditions.

    Salary : $113,300 - $169,890
