What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant I position at Tactile Medical?
The Staff Accountant I is responsible for overseeing the Company's accounts payable process, as well as supporting month end close and tax filing process.
Responsibilities
- Ensure vendor bills are entered and paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to the Company's established approval requirements
- Confirm adequate support exists to support each expenditure and that it is retained for all vendor bills
- Process vendor bills for payment in accordance with agreed upon terms
- Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries, and document business processes
- Analyze and perform monthly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts
- Lead and/or assist on special projects as needed
- Serve as the Company's subject matter expert relative to vendor account status, accounts payable workflows, appropriate hierarchies, etc
- Foster an environment of continuous process improvement, enhance and streamline accounts payable and related financial reporting processes as appropriate
- Provide support for system upgrades and implementations
- Serve as the backup relative to the review and approval of employee expense reports, confirming appropriateness of documentation and adherence to the Company policy
- Lead the completion and filing of monthly sales and use tax returns and quarterly income tax payments
- Manage adherence to Form 1099 filing requirements
- Support quarterly reviews as well as internal and external audits
- Perform all job duties while maintaining compliance with all appropriate regulatory requirements including, SEC, IRS and HIPAA
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2 years' experience in accounts payable and general ledger
Preferred:
- 1 years' experience in corporate accounting and month-end close functions
- Previous experience working with NetSuite

Below is the starting salary range for this position, although offers may differ based on the candidate's location, job-specific knowledge, skills and experience.
$49,700 - $65,205
