Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Cobbler to join our team and expand our services into professional shoe and leather repair. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in shoe repair and leatherwork, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for quality craftsmanship. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic, sustainability-driven environment where your skills will be valued and showcased.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair, resole, and restore leather and non-leather shoes, boots, and accessories
- Replace heels, soles, zippers, and eyelets with precision and care
- Clean, polish, and condition leather goods to extend product life
- Repair and restore bags and purses, including zippers, straps, linings, and clasps
- Assess damage and determine the best repair method
- Maintain cobbler tools, machinery, and work area
- Collaborate with the tailoring team to deliver seamless customer experiences
- Offer recommendations and insights to customers on shoe and bag care
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a cobbler or in a similar professional leather repair role
- Strong knowledge of shoe and handbag construction, materials, and repair techniques
- Proficiency with cobbler machinery (e.g., sanding machines, sewing machines, polishers)
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Friendly, professional attitude with a customer-first mindset
