We have an outstanding Contract position for a Material Handler to join a leading Company located in the Marysville, WA surrounding area.Pay Rate : $20.00 / hr The duties of this job are to ensure that all of the materials used in the production of panels are controlled, verified and delivered to the production team in a timely manner as to support on time delivery to our plan dates. Material handlers are also responsible for the department hazardous waste control and disposition.Job Responsibilities : -Verify, withdraw and deliver materials to the production line in a timely manner to support the production schedule board.-Ensure that materials are FIFO, track exposure units on temperature sensitive materials.-Must be able to ensure accurate inventory for the department.-Perform cycle counting of highly used materials.-Other duties include receiving and storing production materials, palletizing materials or product, etc..-Handle the disposal of hazardous waste materials for the department.-Forklift operation is required (training provided).-May be required to be a certified forklift trainer. -Active participation in operational improvement activities.-Willing to cross train or transfer to other departments as needed.-Other task as needed and flexibility is key.-Willing to work overtime as needed. This may include weekends.Basic Hiring Criteria : -High school diploma or equivalent.-Minimum 2 years of relevant material handling experience.-Safely and effectively operate a forklift (training provided).-Lift 50 pounds frequently throughout the shift.Desired Qualifications : -Steady work history is preferred, manufacturing a plus.-Prior inventory control experience a plus.-Understand and follow procedures / practices.-Be flexible and able to react quickly to changing situations.-Able to learn and effectively apply all requirements established by the quality assurance team. -Have a sincere desire to work and be able to work independently or with a team to complete tasks in a timely manner.-Good basic math skills.-Good reading comprehension to follow work orders.-Legible handwriting / printing.-Ability to balance multiple tasks / priorities.
