Job Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day accounting duties, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, trust accounting and reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures, as well as relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of the annual budget and forecast processes.
- Conducted financial analysis and provided insights to support management decision-making.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
- Assist in audits and liaise with external auditors as necessary.
- Continuously improve and streamline accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
