Are you a hands-on accounting professional with a strategic mindset and a passion for building strong financial operations? Tadlock Roofing, a trusted and established leader in the roofing industry, is looking for a Controller to join our corporate team in Tallahassee, FL.
This is a critical onsite leadership role that combines strategic financial oversight with day-to-day accounting operations. You'll work closely with the executive team to guide the fiscal health of the company, while also rolling up your sleeves to lead core accounting functions and processes.
What You'll Do
Oversee all accounting operations, including AR/AP, payroll, and job funding
Develop and manage budgets (corporate and by location), conduct budget vs. actual analysis
Ensure compliance with 1099s, workers' comp audits, and general liability audits
Review and approve all bills and reconcile bank accounts monthly
Manage credit card programs, financial contracts, lien waivers, and finance lender relationships
Handle WIP/job schedule reporting and support strategic planning
Provide financial insight for business decisions, long-range planning, and regulatory compliance
What You Bring
Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and accounting operations
Strong knowledge of GAAP and standard financial practices
Experience managing audits, financial risk, and cash flow
Leadership and supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail, ethical conduct, and strong business acumen
Excellent communication skills with the ability to advise executives and cross-functional teams
- 8 years of progressively responsible experience or combination of education and experience
