What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bilingual Instructional Aide position at Taft City Elementary School District?
The Bilingual Instructional Aide, under the supervision of the school site Principal and classroom Teacher, assists in providing for the educational needs of limited and
non-English speaking students in the classroom, performs routine clerical duties, and makes home visits as may be necessary. This position is located at Lincoln Jr. High School in Taft, CA. Education:
• Completion of high school or equivalent.
• Completion of training course designed specifically for bilingual/ESL aides desired.
• Successful completion of the Instructional Aide Proficiency Test (Paraprofessional Exam) as required by state law.
• Successful completion of the Bilingual exam proctored by the District.
Experience:
• One or more years working with children.
• ESL and/or bilingual experience in local dominant language(s) required.
Fingerprint clearance by both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice as well as a physical clearance are conditions of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met.
**Bilingual Instructional Aides already employed with the District, may submit a transfer request form to HR in lieu of submitting an application on EdJoin. The form can be found on the District website or on the job announcement email. Internal staff who are not currently an Instructional Aide must apply on EdJoin to be considered for the position.
Salary : $18 - $22
