The custodial support staff plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the campus. Key responsibilities include:
- Cleaning classrooms, restrooms, showers, shops, cafeteria, offices, and other facilities as assigned;
- Maintaining floors, carpets, and rugs by sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, stripping, waxing, and burnishing; spot cleaning and shampooing carpets;
- Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, carpet cleaners, and sweepers;
- Sets up classes and events as required, moves furniture, and arranges chairs, tables, bleachers, and equipment for special events and activities;
Requirements
To be eligible for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be currently enrolled in a minimum of 6 units at Taft College;
- Remain in good standing and enrolled in courses during the assignment period.
