What do our Regional Managers do?
Our Regional Managers are responsible for the operations and results of your assigned region’s business units. Regional Managers direct and lead operations by establishing and maintaining company goals and standards for performance, growth, and customer service. The Regional Manager is expected to provide leadership and mentoring to all their direct reports and lead their team effectively and efficiently while maintaining profitability in their region.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assumes full responsibility for all regional centers key performance indicators (KPI’s)
- Ensures all General Managers in their region understand all key performance indicators (KPI’s) and are given the proper training and support to meet or exceed all KPI’s consistently.
- Assists in preparing and administering an annual operating budget for their respective region.
- Identify, analyze & correct negative business trends using tools such as monthly Scorecard reviews action plans for General Managers to address systemic and tactical issues.
- Provides leadership and oversight to all regional center’s personnel, including hiring, training, developing, coaching and promoting team members, creating a succession plan for each center, area and region.
- Provides each General Manager with support relating to employee relations issues with the help of Human Resources.
- Recognize and reward exceptional performance through timely and specific feedback; encourage professional growth and career development.
- Identify potential acquisition targets in support of the company, including developing “on the ground” relationships with these targets.
- Work with corporate team to achieve the external growth of the assigned district and market.
- Source, grow and maintain regional client and dealership relationships; capitalize on market opportunities.
- Provide direction and leadership to ensure acquired centers are fully operational and integrated within the organization.
- Resolve center specific and regional issues and customer/client concerns in a timely manner.
- Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc. Provides necessary training.
- Ensures that proper safety equipment is available and being used properly.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate, bachelor’s preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of multi-unit/shop management experience in the Automotive Collision Repair industry with a strong focus in Operations, Sales and Marketing.
- Self-starter with comfort and ability to work independently.
- Effective problem-solving skills; and strong analytical ability.
- Personable, friendly demeanor with an awe-inspiring approach to customer service to internal and external customers.
- Excellent communication skills; both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Dedicated to creating collaborative, team-oriented work environments.
- Ability to read and understand basics of repair instructions, written estimates and work orders.
