Job Overview – Entry-Level Phlebotomist:
Step into a vital role as an Entry-Level Phlebotomist, where you’ll be responsible for patient interactions, ensuring a professional and compassionate experience for those undergoing routine health screenings and critical diagnostic testing. This role involves drawing high-quality blood specimens, preparing them for laboratory processing, and adhering to strict procedures while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in patient information.
Compensation: $22 - $24/hour
Location: Lenox, MI
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST (Day Shift)
Responsibilities as the Entry-Level Phlebotomist:
- Specimen Collection & Processing: Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing with accuracy and professionalism.
- Patient Care & Safety: Maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
- Patient Verification: Verify demographic information and ensure proper documentation.
- Customer Service: Deliver excellent service to create a positive patient experience.
- Operational Efficiency: Work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced setting while managing multiple priorities.
- Policy Adherence: Follow company policies, including dress code, health and safety guidelines, and operational procedures.
Qualifications for the Entry-Level Phlebotomist:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Licensure & Certification: Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Experience: At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections, with prior customer service experience in a retail or service setting preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in keyboarding and data entry required.
