Job Overview Nurse Practitioner (NP) :
Join our client s healthcare team as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the Bronx! The Nurse Practitioner provides coordinated, comprehensive, and continuous primary medical services to patients under the direction of the Vice President, Medical Affairs / Medical Director.
Compensation : $123,000 $127,000 / year
Location : Bronx, NY
Schedule : Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Nurse Practitioner :
- Patient History & Evaluation : Obtain and review patient medical and psychosocial histories and perform comprehensive physical examinations.
- Screening Procedures : Conduct screenings including Pap smears, GC cultures, Chlamydia tests, and Wet preps.
- Confidential Services : Facilitate related services for patients while ensuring confidentiality and privacy.
- Routine Exams : Perform routine interim physical examinations based on specific risks.
- Medication & Treatment : Evaluate patients, prescribe medications, treatments, and make referrals according to policies and current standards of care.
- Continuous Care : Provide continuous care and manage common clinical problems encountered in primary care settings.
- Patient Education : Participate in patient education and counseling on family planning, STD / HIV, preventive health, and nutrition.
- Lab Data Interpretation : Interpret laboratory data, review lab reports, and order additional tests or follow-ups as indicated.
