Job Overview – Payroll Manager (Hybrid):

Compensation: $50/hour

Location: Boston, MA

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Join our client as a Payroll Manager in Boston, MA (Hybrid), overseeing full-cycle payroll for salaried, hourly, and commission-based employees. This temporary role is ideal for a payroll professional with expertise in ADP Workforce Now, payroll compliance, and process improvement. You'll work closely with HR and Finance to ensure accurate processing, timely reporting, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities as the Payroll Manager:

• Payroll Execution: Process bi-weekly payroll accurately, including wages, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
• Compliance & Tax Filing: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and manage payroll tax filings and equity awards.
• Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate employee records related to compensation, benefits, and tax withholdings.
• Employee Support: Address payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
• Audit & Reconciliation: Perform payroll reconciliations and audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with HR and Finance to align payroll operations with business processes and reporting needs.

Qualifications for the Payroll Manager:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: 3 years of full-cycle payroll experience, including salaried, hourly, and commission-based employees, with hands-on use of ADP Workforce Now.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Excel, with working knowledge of additional payroll and HRIS systems.
• Skills & Attributes: Knowledgeable in payroll compliance with strong attention to detail, discretion, and effective time management and communication skills.
