What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician position at TAG MedStaffing?
We are seeking Board Certified Geriatricians, Internists, and Family Practitioners throughout Western Pennsylvania to join our group of dedicated, experienced practitioners who provide comprehensive on-site medical care to patients in post-acute settings, acute rehabilitation, long term care, continuing care communities and assisted living centers.
Location: Grove City, PA (NW of Pittsburg), Kittanning, PA(NE of Pittsburg), and Somerset, PA(SW of Pittsburg)
Schedule: Mon- Fri; exact hours depend on the facility preference; on-call once a week
- Most physicians start around 7am
- Most leave typically around 4pm-5pm
Salary: $225k- $275k; bonus is available- ask on interview about bonus structure
Main focuses
1. Look at every new admission that comes in (most come from a hospital)- state regulation requires patient must be seen within 72hours-7days
- Most see 5-10 new admissions. some see 50 new admission
- Facilities range from a 120 beds- 500 beds
2. Complex medical case that an NP is not comfortable handling (i.e. acute visit- patient is suddenly and quickly failing)
3. MRO (medication reorder): every single month there is a set of medical orders (walking, turning a patient, prescribed meds); Has to be reordered once a month

Overview
We provide care to patients across the spectrum of post-acute facilities from short term rehabilitation patients to complex geriatric patients in skilled nursing facilities. Our goal is to remove barriers, improve access and provide state of the art care to achieve the best clinical outcomes for our patients and the facilities we serve. Responsibilities
- Diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care and health maintenance in the long term care setting.
- Collaborate with team of Nurse Practitioners to support the highest level of care
- Maintains confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines and regulations.
- Completes medical records (EMR) documentation daily.
- Participating in after hours and weekend telephone call coverage on a rotating basis
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted DO/MD license in PA
Board Certification in Family Medicine, Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, Primary Care or related Medical Specialties
Salary : $3,000 - $275,000
