Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled EMS (Energy Management System) Foreman to join our commercial refrigeration construction team. The EMS Foreman will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the installation and operation of refrigeration control systems in commercial settings. This role requires expertise in reading plans, schematics, and wiring diagrams, along with proficiency in job coordination, scheduling, and the installation of refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in refrigeration control systems, low-voltage wiring, conduit installation, and a willingness to travel to various job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Installation and Coordination:
- Supervise the installation and commissioning of EMS controls for commercial refrigeration systems.
- Read and interpret plans, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure proper installation.
- Coordinate and supervise all aspects of the EMS system installation process, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Install and run conduit for electrical wiring and controls.
- Pull low-voltage wiring as required for EMS control systems.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and supervise a team of electricians and technicians, providing guidance and direction during system installation and troubleshooting.
- Ensure all safety protocols and quality standards are followed by the team.
- Assist with training and mentoring less experienced team members.
- Job Coordination & Scheduling:
- Work closely with project managers to develop and adhere to project schedules.
- Ensure all project milestones are met, and effectively communicate progress with stakeholders.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and quality is maintained.
- Technical Expertise:
- Utilize deep knowledge of refrigeration controls and EMS systems to troubleshoot and resolve issues in the field.
- Provide technical assistance during installations and offer solutions to problems as they arise.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry technologies, standards, and safety regulations.
- Travel:
- Travel to various job sites as required, sometimes on short notice, to oversee installations, resolve issues, and provide technical support.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial refrigeration and EMS system installation.
- Strong understanding of refrigeration control systems, low-voltage wiring, and conduit installation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Proven experience in job coordination, project management, and scheduling.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
