Maintenance Technician

Requirements:

· Requires a high school diploma/GED with two years of production maintenance experience

· Must be highly motivated and able to work independently

· Basic knowledge of wiring, pneumatics, and mechanics

· Adherence to all safety policies

· Adherence to all environmental policies

Training Requirements:

• General Safety
• Quality System Awareness

Physical Demands:

· Some physical exertion required

· Regularly required to sit, stand, walk and occasionally bend and move about the facility

· Ability to lift 50 lbs

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

· Safety Glasses required at all times

· Hearing protection required in designated areas

· Steel toe shoes required

Work Environment:

· Work performed in a manufacturing environment

· Exposure to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, chemical and other elements

MAJOR JOB FUNCTIONS

· Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the facility’s equipment.

· Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.

· Understanding of PLC’s and electrical drawings.

· Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.

· Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.

· Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

· Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.

· Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.

· Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.

· Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.

· Detect faculty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.

· Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

· Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

Standard work schedule is Monday – Friday 8 hours. 6:00 A.M - 2:30 P.M. Overtime may be required at times.
