What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Assembly - First Shift position at TAG Shelby?
Essential Job Functions:
· Read assembly guidelines as written by the OEM service engineers.
· Perform interior and exterior auto part teardowns and build-ups prior to and after exterior parts are painted.
· Inspect incoming and outgoing vehicles.
· Possess capability to provide function testing of vehicles.
· Document any additional issues found and inform the Team Leader/Manager in a timely manner.
· Recognize personal improvement areas and develop strength to achieve personal growth.
· Maintain a clean workstation and work environment.
Standard work schedule is Monday – Friday 8 hours. 6:00 A.M - 2:30 P.M. Overtime may be required at times.
Qualifications:
· Must be a high energy individual with a strong work ethic and desire to succeed.
· Ability to work alone or in a group setting with minimal supervision.
· Must possess basic automotive experience with hand tools.
Requires the Following Skills:
· Must be able to multi-task while ensuring follow up and execution of required tasks.
· Basic skills with computer operation and applications.
· High degree of organization and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Oral and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively.
· Must be willing to assist peers, teach and help out as well as exude flexibility.
· Lifting Requirements: must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
· Requires a moderate level of physical activity.
· Requires bending, climbing, stooping and stretching within a vehicle.
Experience:
· Vehicle assembly - 3 years
