Job Description:
We’re looking for a seasoned Senior Manager of Platform Engineering to lead key initiatives within our Delivery Engineering organization. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in evolving our self-service developer platform—enabling engineering teams to confidently build, deploy, and operate applications in the cloud with speed, security, and reliability.
You’ll partner with Cloud Engineering/Architecture, SRE, Security and Quality to scale automation, define standards, and deliver modern CI/CD and infrastructure tooling used across all of the TAG brands.
Responsibilities:
- Develop delivery tooling to support/improve productivity for engineering teams; enabling teams to build, deploy, and own their applications end-to-end
- Guide engineering teams in modernizing their applications using cloud-native patterns and scalable architecture
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines that reflect industry best practices for deployment and infrastructure-as-code
- Collaborate cross-functionally to expand and enhance our internal platform for application and infrastructure delivery
- Partner with Cloud Engineering and SRE to define infrastructure standards and improve visibility (logging, metrics, tracing)
- Work with Quality Engineering to evolve our testing platform and enable rapid, reliable test cycles
- Champion a data-driven, declarative approach to platform development, empowering engineers with paved-road experiences across CI/CD, infrastructure, observability, and security
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 7 years of experience in Platform, Delivery, or Developer Infrastructure Engineering
- Proven experience leading high-impact teams or initiatives, ideally in hybrid or cloud-native environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Hands-on software engineering experience with frameworks like FastAPI, .NET 7, or similar
- Proficiency in Python or Go; experience with C# and ASP.NET is a plus
- Experience with Kubernetes and public cloud platforms (GCP, AWS preferred)
- Have a GitOps mentality driving change via SCM based workflows for tools such as Terraform, ArgoCD, and Gitlab CI templates/policies.
- Familiarity with internal developer platform and deployment tools (e.g., Spinnaker, Argo CD, Port, Backstage)
- Understanding of common artifact/package managers (Docker/Harbor Registry, NuGet, PyPi, NPM)
- Strong open-source mindset—whether it’s using, contributing, or building with open tools
- Passion for solving complex problems, enabling teams, and building impactful platform experiences
