As a reflection of our continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity to join our growing Product organization as a User Experience Researcher. The ideal candidate will be adept at uncovering deep insights into user behavior and needs, translating these findings into actionable recommendations, and collaborating closely with designers, product managers, and developers to enhance our product offerings. As a UX Researcher, you will play a crucial role in shaping our product strategies and ensuring that our user experiences are intuitive, engaging, and effective.


Key Responsibilities:

Conduct Research: Collaboratively plan, design, schedule, and execute a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods including usability testing, user interviews, surveys, and field studies to gather insights on user needs, behaviors, and pain points.

Operationalize research practice: Develop strategies for research planning, scheduling, moderation, execution, and documentation.

Analyze Data: Synthesize research findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations. Use data to inform design decisions and validate hypotheses.

Collaborate: Work closely with product managers, designers, and developers to ensure user research is integrated into the product development lifecycle. Facilitate workshops and presentations to share research findings and drive user-centered design solutions.

Advocate for Users: Champion the voice of the user within the organization by advocating for user needs and ensuring that their feedback is incorporated into the design process.

Stay Informed: Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging methodologies in UX research and design. Apply new knowledge to continuously improve research processes and techniques.

Optimize process and tooling: Be a trusted advisor for streamlining our iterative design processes and make tooling recommendations to the business to support our initiatives while controlling costs.


Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in UX Research, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.

Experience: 3 years of experience in UX research or a related field. Proven track record of conducting user research and providing actionable insights that drive product decisions.

Skills: Strong proficiency in research methodologies and tools (e.g., remote and in-person usability testing, surveys, interviews, analytics tools). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, Excel) is a plus.

Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present complex information in a clear and compelling manner to various stakeholders.

Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Experience collaborating with designers, developers, marketers, and product managers.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous in research planning, execution, and reporting. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Experience with UX design tools such as Figma, Sketch, & Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus.

Research Methodology Expertise: Proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, such as usability testing, ethnographic studies, surveys, and A/B testing. The ability to select the right approach based on project goals.

Data Analysis and Synthesis: Advanced skills in analyzing complex data sets and transforming research insights into actionable recommendations for design and business strategy. Strong command of statistical tools and qualitative analysis techniques.

Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication: Ability to effectively communicate research findings and advocate for the user to cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and executives. Skilled in presenting complex ideas in a clear, concise manner.

Leadership and Mentorship (future state): Experience leading and mentoring other researchers, fostering professional growth, and ensuring high-quality research practices across the team. Capable of guiding teams through ambiguous research challenges.

Strategic Vision: Demonstrated ability to align research activities with broader business goals and product strategies. Skilled at identifying emerging user needs, market trends, and opportunities for innovation to influence product development at a strategic level.


Annual Pay Range: $90-110k
