The Art Director works with the Creative Director to conceptualize all visual output for projects, establishing the visual language and setting the tone and animation style. This position is also expected to be hands on with the ability to execution projects autonomously or with the guidance of a CD. THIS IS A CONTRACT ROLE - ABOUT 4 MONTHS. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO GET INTO WARREN, NJ EVERY WEDNESDAY.
Responsibilities -
- Conceptualize and execute high-quality visuals for commercials and other clients
- Conceive and design storyboards for pitches and for pre-visualizations
- Work with Creative Director and other art director/ post production resources to create and design high-caliber motion graphics and other visuals
- Carry out projects from concept to delivery
- Bring forward new and unique ideas and approaches
- Design storyboards to develop visual style concepts
- Interact with different levels of management, production and design teams
- Have a can do, positive attitude as you will be working with a small, very collaborative team
- Stickler for details, excellent QC skills and ability to keep all files clean, backed up and up to date
Required Skills -
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Art, Design, or Animation
- 6 years’ experience in Art, Design & Animation
- Mastery of Adobe Suites Software
- Ability to prioritize under tight time constraints and to work successfully in a fast-paced environment
- Effective interpersonal skills across teams and when liaising with clients
- Understanding of Advertising business, conceptual creative process, idea explorations
- Knowledge of digital platforms and best practices, including online, mobile, tablets, and other emerging technologies
- Knowledge of designing and delivering for print and print formats, web and web based formats
- Ownership of projects, with the ability to carry out projects from concept to delivery
- Understanding of narrative structure and storytelling, able to synthesize information and create a cohesive flow that can easily translate to storyboard format
- Excellent communication skills, working knowledge of copy and tools we can use to optimize language on behalf of clients when copywriters are not available
- Possession of superior presentation skills – both in creation and verbalization
Per state requirements, this posting reflects the salary range for this position for the following:
New York based individual: $90,000 Minimum $100,000 Maximum per annum - pro rata.
Compensation varies depending on job-related factors such as experience, responsibilities, and business needs. For all other states, please inquire with the Tag Talent Acquisition Team.
