Summary of Position

The Senior Key Account Designer is responsible for managing and executing creative design solutions tailored to the unique needs of key clients in a fast paced, market-driven, collaborative environment. This role requires a balance of design expertise, organizational skills, strategic thinking, and relationship management to deliver exceptional value to the company's most critical customers. 

Key Responsibilities

1. Product and Packaging Design

• Ability to design in a range of different styles for both seasonal and everyday product categories in home décor, tabletop, kitchen and home textiles, garden and gifts
• Design products both conceptually and in final specifications for overseas quoting and execution processes
• Well-versed in a wide variety of product substrates such as ceramics, glass, metal, wood, and textiles
• Knowledgeable in both 2D & 3D packaging design executions

2. Client-Centric Design Solutions

• Collaborate with Sales to understand client requirements and objectives
• Create tailored design concepts that align with clients' brand guidelines and project goals

3. Project Management

• Develop timelines and manage design projects on trackers from concept to completion
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure on time project delivery and meeting financial targets
• Manage a pool of freelance designers as needed to ensure the accurate and timely execution of product design objectives       within budget

4. Stakeholder Collaboration

• Act as liaison between key account clients, Sales, Product Development and Purchasing teams to ensure expectations are       met 
• Conduct regular client presentations to showcase design concepts and gather feedback

5. Market and Trend Analysis

• Stay up to date on industry trends on themes, colors, materials, and product formats to incorporate innovative design           strategies
• Provide insights and recommendations to clients based on market research.

6. Quality Assurance

• Ensure all designs meet the company’s quality standards and exceed client expectations
• Conduct revisions and refinements based on client and internal team feedback

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, product design, surface design, illustration or related field
• A minimum of 5–7 years of professional experience 
• Excellent illustration skills in a variety of styles and the ability to translate that into products 
• Ability to hand sketch, paint and sculpt a plus 
• Packaging design experience a must
• An understanding of manufacturing processes across multiple substrates a plus
• A self-motivated approach to projects, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team 
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills
• Exceptional communication skills for both client facing and internal presentations
• Strong awareness of marketplace and ability to analyze and apply trends to product development/design
• Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to challenges
• Enthusiasm, creativity, and must have an exceptional eye for details
• Availability to travel to trade and trend shows
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in client-focused design solutions

• Expertise in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD)
• Excellent verbal & written communication and presentation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong time-management and organizational skills
• Experience designing products in 3D
• In-depth knowledge of home materials including textiles, ceramics, metal, wood, glass and more

Physical requirements

• Sitting, Standing, Walking
• Carrying, Pushing, Pulling boxes up to 25 lbs.
• Prolonged use of computer involved; use of hands and finger coordination; specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision. Color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus as needed.

Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
