What are the responsibilities and job description for the QUALITY CONTROLLER position at Tageos Inc?
Role Purpose:
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Inspector’s role is to support operations and provide guidance to machine operators and others in providing high-quality products to our customers.
This role includes:
- Incoming inspection of raw materials to determine conformance to specifications.
- Performing reliability testing on products as required by the control plan.
- Assisting operations as needed with product testing and inspections.
- Disposition of questionable or rejected materials.
- Ensure established quality processes are followed at each step of the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspection and testing of raw materials upon receipt.
- Perform additional testing on products to ensure reliability in the field; examples include bend tests and temperature/humidity exposure testing.
- Review and disposition of non-conforming materials.
- Initiate corrective actions both internally (operations) and externally (vendors).
- Monitor and maintain calibration of measurement and test equipment (MTE), ensuring accurate records along with processing of any MTE found to be out of tolerance.
- Investigate customer complaints, acting as the voice of the customer to determine validity in a timely fashion.
- Assist in quality audits of processes for adherence to ISO and other industry quality standards.
- Have a continuous improvement mindset, always looking for ways that we can do better.
- Promote a “hive” mentality throughout the facility where we are all accountable to each other in the pursuit of established goals and metrics.
