Accounting Clerk
The Accounting Clerk will support the accounting operations by filing documents; reconciling statements; running software related programs. The right individual will process accounts payable. Manage invoices for payment, contact vendors as requested or required. The highest ethical standards are required for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Manage document control standards for accounting.
- Ensure proper disposal/filing of all documents per companies’ records retention policy.
- Processes approved invoices (freight) per company policy.
- Reconcile account statements, ensuring accuracy.
- Investigates discrepancies.
- Manage accounting databases by entering data, processing backups.
- Audit financial reports, vendor invoices, statements, etc.
- Audit the vouchering of accounts payable invoices from suppliers.
- Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Learn and act as a back-up supporting other accounting functions within the team.
- Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required (Associates degree is highly desired.)
- 2 years direct accounting experience processing accounts payable
- Strong mathematical skills
- Strong computer skills and proficiency
- Prior SAP, Excel, Access, Outlook experience
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
