Position: Outside Sales Representative
As an Outside Sales Representative, you will work closely with our Inside Sales team to cultivate relationships with existing customers, attract new clients, and consistently meet or exceed monthly sales quotas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional service.
- Product Expertise: Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, providing expert advice on products, estimates, and delivery scheduling.
- Sales Optimization: Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability, and specifications to meet customer needs.
- Order Processing: Efficiently process orders using BisTrack, ensuring timely availability and shipment of materials.
- Pricing and Terms Presentation: Communicate pricing, credit options, and terms in line with company standards and customer profitability profiles.
- Sales Growth: Increase sales and average order size through effective cross-selling, up-selling, and promotion of special offers.
- Customer Education: Educate customers on product terminology, features, and benefits to enhance sales and satisfaction.
- Market Awareness: Stay updated on consumer preferences, local code changes, and product developments through ongoing training, trade shows, and industry literature.
- Trend Analysis: Identify and analyze customer satisfaction and dissatisfaction trends to inform sales strategies.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or GED; relevant experience is preferred.
- Previous experience in the building materials industry is highly desirable.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Proficiency in using rulers, reading blueprints, and understanding construction practices.
- Ability to quickly grasp product information and technical concepts.
- Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members across all departments.
