Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Development Associate to join our Development team. The Development Associate will play a key role in supporting our fundraising strategies, events, and donor engagement operations. This position is an excellent opportunity for a professional who is passionate about our mission and eager to expand skills in fundraising, donor relations and data management.
Primary Responsibilities:
Donor Engagement:
- Support research efforts on prospective individual and institutional donors, including foundations and corporations, to support the team’s fundraising goals.
- Assist with donor engagement initiatives including mailings, emails, events, and meetings.
- Assist with the management of monthly giving program, annual fund solicitation and donor cultivation.
- Manage matching gift fulfillment, import and export of data from custom applications and oversee data integrity (declined credit cards, record merges, update data etc.)
Event Support:
- Assist with the planning and execution of fundraising events, including our annual Signature event.
Data Management and Fundraising Operations
- Manage donor acknowledgment processes, ensuring all gifts are acknowledged promptly and appropriately.
- Maintain and update donor records and assist in compiling revenue reporting in Everyaction.
- Maintain documentation of constituent-related processes and system tracking protocols
- Train staff on CRM (donations, contacts, events, activities, campaigns, One Cause) and set up links to blind copy CRM on emails
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree;
- At least three years of relevant work experience;
- Some experience with individual donor giving a plus;
- Strong experience tracking detailed and accurate information in a database and some experience managing a donor database;
- Research and writing skills;
- Attention to detail
Annual salary and benefits: The salary range for this role is expected to be $47,650 - $63,650. Generous benefits include employee and dependent health, vision and dental insurance (Tahirih contributes 100% of the premium for employees and 60% for dependents); a 401(k) defined contribution retirement plan; flexible work schedules; professional development including in-house training programs, staff enrichment retreats and other growth opportunities.
